Outline and content

we begin with the work of a few poets.

we read and observe....no writing in this first month.

we share our poetry and poetic process with you.

you write 9 -12 poems over three months

we share and comment on your poetry

we invite you to comment on each other's work

we consider form and technique, rhythm, rhyme, metre

intonation, stress, beginnings, endings

Profile

Dorian Haarhoff is a poet, a story-teller and a former Professor of English (Namibia.) He has also taught in a Canadian Creative Writing Faculty. Since 1998 he has run his own business, Creative Workshops. Dorian has on several occasions been invited as guest poet/story-teller to the Conference of Word Affairs in Boulder, Colorado. He participated in Poetry Africa (2004) and was invited to an International Poetry Festival in Colombia, South America.(2005) He has published six collection of poetry, most recently Tortoise Voices ( 2002) and Drawing Water (2006).
